The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam is happy to announce the Erasmus+ Student Mobility Fund that will allow students of gender studies of the University of Prishtina (Kosovo) to spend time at the ISS. The program is fully funded by Erasmus + funds.

The call for applications is open until 30th November 2017, for the academic years 2017/2019 (January 1st, 2017 to June 30th, 2019). The results of the application will be announced around the end of December, 2017.

Eligibility:

All MA and PhD students of gender studies of the University of Prishtina.

Conditions:

Students can apply to stay at ISS for one semester, up to 120 days per person.

All students visiting ISS must enrol in one of the relevant courses of ISS/SJP Women and Gender Studies specialization (or other courses with the substantial gender component). Both host and home institutions are obliged to respect Erasmus+ rules on exchange of educational credits. ISS will provide the necessary conditions for realizing the educational and research plans of the students from the University of Prishtina. All students will be provided with an ISS mentor during mobility. PhD students will also be stationed in the relevant ISS research group.

ISS will receive up to 3 MA or PhD students from the University of Prishtina.

Financial compensation:

Students will receive a monthly allowance of €800 and a travel grant of €275.

Application procedure:

All applications are reviewed first by the Selection Committee of the home institution, who then sends a proposal to the host institution’s Selection Committee. The host institution’s Selection Committee makes the final decision on the list of successful applicants. The list of the successful applicants will be forwarded to the EUR International Office that will take up further contact with the applicants and deal with all logistical issues (visa’s, finances, etc.).

Selection criteria:

  • Quality of the candidate;
  • Quality of the proposed plan for the mobility activities and the potential benefits of the mobility for the candidate and the institution;

Application documentation:

  • A motivation letter explaining the benefits of the proposed mobility and chosen educational/research programme for the candidate (for information about WGS and other relevant courses at the ISS click here);
  • A letter of permission from the programme director or examination board of the home institution. Both home and host institution have to agree on the suitability of the course/research activities for the student;
  • A letter of recommendation from the university lecturer;
  • Appropriate pass level on the IETLS or TOEFL, or other appropriate proof of English language proficiency;
  • A transcript of academic records;

Call for applications for 2017/2019 academic years

Call for applications from academic staff working in the field of gender studies of the University of Prishtina (Kosovo) and the International Institute of Social Studies of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands) and administrative staff working in support of education, to participate in the Erasmus+ staff mobility program.

The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam is happy to announce the Erasmus + Staff Mobility Fund that will allow its staff and the staff of the University of Prishtina working in the field of gender studies and supporting education to spend time teaching and training at each other’s institutions. The program is fully funded by Erasmus + funds.

The call for applications is open until 30th November 2017, for the academic years 2017/2019 (January 1st, 2017 to June 30th, 2019). The results of the application will be announced around the end of December, 2017.

Eligibility:

All academic staff from the University of Prishtina as well as all ISS academic staff working in the field of gender studies, and administrative staff supporting educational activities.

Conditions:

Staff from the University of Prishtina can apply for up to 16 days (2 days travel and 14 office days) stay at ISS per person; ISS staff can apply for up to 7 days (2 days travel and 5 office days) stay at University of Pristina per person.

All host institutions will provide necessary conditions for the realization of teaching and training plans of the academic and administrative staff.

ISS will receive up to 4 staff for teaching and 4 for training from the University of Prishtina.

Application documentation:

  • A motivation letter explaining the benefits of the proposed mobility for the individual and  institutional capacity development in the field of gender studies and expansion of gender expertise, with a proposal for teaching and training the staff could offer to the host institutions; the letter must also contain a proposal for the time of the travel;
  • A letter of permission from the programme director of the home institutions. Both home and host institution have to agree with the suitability of the teaching and training activities for the staff;
  • Statement about appropriate level of English language proficiency;
  • Candidate’s CV and publishing record;
